女孩張望和自己的父親張國華相依為命，雖然父女兩人過著特別清貧的生活，但是他們在一起特別的幸福，7歲的張望也在父親細心的關愛之下茁壯的成長，突然有一天張望不斷的流鼻血。隨后父親帶著他來到醫院進行檢查，最后檢查結果猶如晴天霹靂，張望得了白血病，張國華為了能夠給自己女兒治病借遍了所有的親朋好友但無奈依舊湊不出來30萬的治療費。沒有辦法的父親只好帶著女兒回家放棄了治療，得知這件事情的記者王小月來到張國華家中，并發現張望還有一個不為人知的身世。當記者把這件事情公布之后，得到了全國各地愛心人士的捐助，很快就湊夠了醫療費。張望也得以進行下一步的治療。
